Before I forget, and while I have time
QUICK! While she's asleep!
Aly's accomplishments:
1/09/07- Changed her formula from Enfamil Gentlease to A.R. (acid reflux). She has been spitting up so much that her throat was burned so we wanted to try this. This new formula is rice based so it should help to keep things down.
1/14/07 - Started Oatmeal Cereal, she was eating Rice Cereal but with the A.R. formula that would be too much rice and would bind her up.
1/17/07 - First time trying baby food, peaches! She made the funniest faces, like a sour puss face. She made such a mess!
1/18/07 - Aly rolled over from her stomach to her back!!!! It was amazing!!! Josh and I were just sitting there talking, she had her head up looking around, and then she just rolled over! We put her on her stomach again and got her to do it on tape! She also slept in her crib all night for the first time! (Mommy didn't sleep at all)
1/20/07 - Tried sweet potato baby food, really liked it!
1/23/07 - Tried applesauce baby food. She also started saying "ha"
1/24/07 - Had to go visit the doctor. She has been having problems pooping since she was born, but it has gotten really bad. She is so constipated she screams and cries. The nurse we saw told us to take her off of the cereal andbaby food, that we started it too soon. We probably did, but she was soooo ready for it! She just seemed hungry all the time when she was just on formula. They also told us to put her on soy formula so now she is on Enfamil ProSoBee. So, she is only allowed to have the formula and pear juice now. We go back on Monday, because she is scheduled for her 4 month check-up and shots, and they want to see how her "poo" situation is. If she is doing ok, they said we can start giving her veggies. So far, she pooed last night but it was hard still, nothing today.
1/25/07 - 4 months old today!!!!
She's also been grabbing for things...toys, bottles, her diaper, her clothes, hair, cat fur...
She's also trying to roll from her back to her stomach! She gets half way there and stops on her side. Then she pushes with her feet and kinda moves her body around in a circle on the floor.
She's been drooling like a fiend too, chewing on her fingers.
We have all been sick for the last 3 weeks it seems. Josh had it first, then me, then K, and Aly got the sniffles. Yes, the flu. Then this past Monday I got that terrible stomach bug, om my how I wanted to die! And that was the day Josh left for St. Louis. So, his mom came over and my mom came over because K was sick too and didn't go to school and there was no way I could take care of Aly. They took turns thru the day, and Josh's mom and neice spent the night. Unfortunately, their cat died that morning, he was 20 years old. That's why our neice stayed overnight too, she didn't want to be without Josh's mom. The next day I told her she could go home that morning because Aly was sleeping and that I'd call her in the afternoon. Well, my mom came and helped out and then I felt well enough to take over. It's nice to have family that can help out. I'm telling you, I had to force myself to get better quick. No time to be sick when you have a baby. K went back to school on Wednesday and then poor Josh got it that day! He managed to get over it pretty quick too. I tell myself every year, get a flu shot! But I wpnder if it would really help?
My sis and her hubby sold their house and are moving into an apartment for a few months. They found a new house that they love, and were approved for the loan yesterday! I am so happy for them, this house is bigger and has a lot of land. The only sucky thing is that she will be an hour or so away from me now, and before it was about 40 minutes. :(
There has been a lot of drama with Josh's degree lately - is he going to get it this summer or at the end of the year? I'm not going to go into the whole story because it is too long and pisses me off, let's just say his counselor made a boo boo and "forgot" about a class he has to take. Well, he got it all fixed with one of his professors and looks like they will waive a few classes for him because of his grades and his life experience, but he will still need to take 3 classes from May until the end of June/beginning of July. So, we won't see him but he will finally be done! Yeay! I can't wait, I am going to throw him such a big party! I am so proud of him!

They haven't said anything about who did it, if they have any leads, or anything about the toxicolgy report. Weird, they must know something...To tell you the truth, I really haven't thought about it too much. I feel bad for the woman and her family, I wish there was something I could have done. But, she was already dead the police tell me. Every night I still look across the street still, but it is eerie now.

I can't believe it
This is what I dealt with all day today (well, yesterday at this point).

They (meaning a FAMILY that took their young kids sledding) found a woman's BODY across the street from my house. MY HOUSE. AT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. I live in a small town outside of Utica. This isn't supposed to happen here. The police were at my house TWICE today asking me questions and taking information. Then the local newspaper came. K asked what was going on and I told her I didn't know, because I didn't want her to be so scared that she couldn't sleep tonight. She has a major state test to take in school tomorrow, and I don't want her exhausted. If you look out her window you can see where the body was. They have police tape all over the place, and they were out there for about 8 hours today. I am going to have to talk to her in the morning though, because all of the kids in school will be talking about it. What a time for Josh to be gone huh? I called him right away to see if he could find out anything for me when it first happened, but then the police came to the door and told me. Un-freaking-believable. They told me they feel that she was DUMPED there and that it happened around Monday. Not that it matters now, but I went around my house and made sure everything was locked up. The weird thing though, K and I both had a hard time sleeping Monday night.
P.S. - the banquet hall is where I had my baby shower...

I almost forgot
The most important thing!!!!!!
Josh and I went to court on the 13th of December and got SOLE CUSTODY of K!!!!!!!!! YEAY!!!!!! No more problems, no more fighting, it is basically over! Her mom agreed to "visitation as the parties agree in accordance with the counselor", which means there are no more set visitation schedules! It will be only after K's mom works with the counselor to get things better between herself and K. And even after that, K will not see her outside of NY to begin with, and her stepfather isn't allowed to see her, and Josh has the final say! We can finally breathe, and K will finally be safe!!!!!

It's been so long
Sorry everyone, been a little crazy here.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hope everyone had a great holiday season and was safe. Ours was great, on the go non-stop. Santa was very good to the girls, gave them almost everything they wanted! There wasn't much room to walk in the living room, that's for sure. My grandma came for the holiday, she is leaving tomorrow to go back to Florida. K and I were very busy making cookies for everyone, we even put together a gingerbread house. I really can't think right now, so I will list Aly's accomplishments, etc.
12/06/06 - she started to sit up on her own, she would grab onto our fingers while she was sitting on our laps and sit up!
12/07/06 - started clicking her tongue
12/08/06 - noticed she had a tongue and started sticking it out to see it
12/09/06 - took Aly to buy our Christmas tree, 1st tree for her
12/11/06 - started grabbing for things put infront of her
12/13/06 - started playing with her tongue in her cheeks
12/15/06 - decorated our Christmas tree, Aly and Daddy put her 1st ornament on
12/22/06 - Aly's 1st laugh!!! Josh got it on video tape, I cried my eyes out! K and I were in the kitchen making cookies at the time, Josh was putting a stuffed animal (turtle) in Aly's face to make her laugh
12/23/06 - 1st time meeting my mom's side of the family, my uncle had a get together because my grandma was in town and it was a good night to get everyone together
12/24/06 - Aly's 1st Christmas Eve Mass, she slept thru the whole thing! Cousin R sang in the choir
12/25/06 - Aly's 1st Christmas! She laughed again tonight, for 5 minutes straight with Josh again, K and I were there and everyone was laughing and crying. They were full belly laughs, and the more Josh laughed, the more she laughed!
12/30/06 - 1st dinner at Delmonico's, where Josh and I had our rehearsal dinner, it was Nanny's b-day (also Uncle Brian's b-day). Aly also started blowing raspberries at the TV! She has been doing it non-stop ever since!
12/31/06 - 1st New Year's Eve, our tradition is to watch the ball drop and make lots of snacks including pigs in a blanket, then we toast the New Year with sparkling apple cider. This year I got noise makers and crowns/hats for all of us!
01/01/07 - Aly's 1st New Year! Went to Nanny and Bumpy's for dinner.
01/06/07 - She found her voice today! She is very loud about it too, screaming at the TV mostly, happy with herself! Also, Josh went away today for a week for work, so this is her first time away from Daddy for a week.
01/07/07 - started sucking on her bottom lip
Josh is in Las Vegas until Friday. Hopefully I can keep things together until then, I am so tired and sore. I hate when he has to go away for long periods of time, I don't mind the 2 or 3 day trips. He has to go to St. Louis in a couple of weeks for 4 days too.
