Does anyone remember.....

the group Kris Kross? I just saw a re-run of 'In Living Color' and they were singing their infamous song "Jump".....did anyone of you ever wear your clothes backwards like them? I have to admit, I had their CD!
So, I got to thinking, what ever happened to them? I found this story....

What's new?

Not much really. Had a dentist appointment yesterday.....ouchie!!!! I haven't been for a year and a half, partly because I had no insurance and also my dentist retired! Good news is there are no cavities! But man, the scraping!!!!

J Poo is going to CA for a few days, leaving Sunday and coming home Wednesday night. It's been a while since he went on any business trips, but I hate it when he goes away.

My friend Lisa sent me a belated wedding and Christmas gift! She sent me a lovely brown sweater and an oil and vinegar set. Thanks Lisa!

My college roommates have planned a weekend to get together.....we always call it Brockport Girls Weekend, cause that's where we went to school...duh! ;) It is the weekend of February 11th, it will be nice to see everyone again! Two of them are pregnant and both due in May! I won't have to travel far, we are all meeting at my college roommates house and it's only about 45 minutes from here. Two of the others are coming from Maryland and one other is coming from Buffalo.

Nothing else really going on, I am just extremely tired and feel worthless because of my lack of energy! No problems though, all is fine!

Aruba, Jamaica, ooooh I wanna take ya!!!!

J poo has posted pictures for meeeee!!!!
Take a look at our honeymoon pics!

The iguanas were all over the place! On our porch, in the dining rooms, above the bars....J fell in love with them, I think he took over 100 pics of these little dinosaurs!

We went to De Palm Island to go SNUBA diving and snorkeling. Snuba diving is just like scuba diving but your air tanks float on top of the water. We could only go about 20 feet down. J made it, I didn't. I got too scared, I started thinking about being under the water and I freaked out. I really liked the snorkeling though, saw a lot of cool fish and coral....the water was sooo blue!!!!! Then we did something called a Sea Trek, they put a diving helmet on you and you walk 25 feet down a ladder! It was still kinda scary to me, but there was air in the helmet to breath and that made me feel a little better. It was nice, we walked around a cessna plane that they had purposely sunk to start a new coral reef.

The Alhambra Casino was right outside our resort, J won 3 nights in a row! He bought me a dolphin pendant and himself a watch!

The sunset dinner was done on the beach for newlyweds only! They bused us from the resort and we had dinner, desert and champagne....for free!

So, the iguanas were J's thing. My thing was the little crabbies!!!! They were sooooo fast and sooooo hard to see at night! They are almost see thru, and the sand is white! So, I just held the button down on the camera, and got a few good shots before they ran away.

When they say there is a mall in Aruba, don't let it fool you! It is NOTHING like the malls here! It is mostly souvenir shops and jewelry shops. The buildings were painted nice though...

We were told to go to Carlos and Charlie's Restaurant....oh my God it was sooooo good! I highly recommend it, the food was awesome and so were the drinks! Obviously....look at my eyes!

We went on a "Dune buggy" Tour of the island....it was more like a Go Cart! J got to drive it himself, we followed a guide on his 4-wheeler. It was cool, except we were eating dirt!!!! Yuck. Next time we will do the Jeep tour. The island is only 20 miles long and 3 miles wide, so I'm not kidding when I tell you we saw the whole island! The only sad part about our tour was the fact that the Natural Bridge had collapsed 2 weeks before.....it's been there for over 400,000 years and it heard we were coming!

The Divi Divi Trees....they were all over the place! The story on the island is if you fall asleep under one, you won't wake up until someone comes along and wakes you up!

The sunset cruise was AWESOME! There were only about 7 other couples on the boat, and they said they ususally have at least 25 couples....so they gave us LOTS of drinks and eats! J felt a little sick at first, but then he reminded himself about how skateboarding feels and it made him feel better.

That's all I can think of right now. Any questions about the pictures or anything? Let me know!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2006 everyone!
Hope everyone had a good night and made some good resolutions (and hope they all come true!)

K was with us this year, we didn't have her the last 2 years so it was special to us this year. We had made it a tradition since we met, we always made pigs in a blanket and had sparkling apple cider when the ball dropped every year until her mom left. So, we got to do it this year! We made appetizers and munched on them all night and let her stay up to watch the ball drop, then we toasted to the new year! My resolution was for better health for everyone this year, cause in this family you need it!!!! K resolved to be better this year and not get in trouble so much ;). J wanted the same thing that I wanted and for us to stay a happy family.

We went to J's parents for dinner and ate too much again! The next day J went to the gym, that is another one of his resolutions! We all went to the Children's Museum on Monday for a few hours, I haven't been there since I was a kid! And it's right down the road from us!
http://www.museum4kids.net/

I went to the doctors yesterday, all is well. I have to stop with the caffeine and fake sugars because I had an episode with my vision back in November when J and I were shopping. I don't normally drink coffee, but that morning I did and I put Equal in it. Well, I ended up with a halo around my eyes that day. Doctor said it sounded like a migraine, but I didn't have a headache! I've had migraines before, they suck! He said you don't have to have a headache to have a migraine.....go figure! So, no more diet pepsi or equal or.......gulp.....chocolate!!!!! Yeah right!

My grandpa is not doing to well, so J and I are gonna go see him tonight. We're gonna take our Aruba pictures to show him. He was in the hospital before Christmas, but he's gotten worse since. He misses my grandma, it's been 2 1/2 years, we think he's ready to go. I can't imagine losing J, I don't even want to think about it!

Another funny story....

The other night we went over to J's parents house to meet up with them and take his mom out to dinner for her birthday. Before we left, J's mom asked my nephew Z to unplug the lights on their Christmas tree. Remember, he's 4 years old. So, he walks over in his boots and jacket, goes to the side of the couch and tries to walk over all the toys and stuff that are under the tree. Well, he ends up falling on top of everything. The next thing we see are his hands waving in the air and he says, "Don't worry!!! I'm alright, I'm alright!!!" Too cute! :)
